Intralesional Verapamil Shows Signs of benefit in a Preclinical study

Verapamil may be making a comeback for Treatment of Peyronie’s Disease

Use of verapamil has been controversial as no high quality study showed significant benefit.

A recent animal experimental study suggests that there is an underlying biological mechanism for the benefit of Peyronie’s disease.  The study shows improvement in intra-lesional parameters that are better in the verapamil than in placebo groups which suggests that Verapamil may have beneficial effects in humans.
